401K DOCTOR OFFERS INVESTMENT ADVICE

MASON - Independent investment adviser Martin S. Schneider has opened a specialized investment firm.

The company, the 401k Doctor, provides advice on retirement and financial topics to businesses and individual investors. Schneider explained that his compensation comes only from his clients, so he is unbiased in recommending products he thinks are best suited to his clients' needs.

Why the "doctor" name?

"We trust our health (and lives) to our health-care providers," Schneider said. "Our financial health is no less important and demands the same kind of trust and care."

Schneider has worked in the financial services industry for 19 years. Most recently he was an executive with Schaeffer's Investment Research and before that, with American Express Financial Advisors Inc. He is a registered investment adviser.
